We are eager to enter the eleventh year offering the Eagle Eye Summer Institute for Young Adults in Ohio. Eagle Eye is different than any other young adult retreat. Father Nathan Cromly of the Community of St. John launched Eagle Eye sixteen years ago with the idea to go as deep and as intense as we possibly can at all levels: prayer, formation, friendship, and Christian living. This program is destined to give those who want it, a taste of what it means to be truly Catholic and in love with Christ. For eight days, young adults, already strong in the understanding and practice of their faith, challenge themselves to a deeper appreciation and awareness of that faith.
The location was selected to meet the needs of young adults in a wide geographic area, not just limited to Ohio. Our Institute begins on Saturday, August 3rd, with an invigorating outdoor experience. After a two day hiking adventure at Natural Bridge State Park near Kentucky’s Red River Gorge, we will continue our journey at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit Center in Cincinnati, Ohio through Sunday, August 11th. This splendid retreat center previously served as a seminary for the diocese. While at the retreat center, our classes focus on this year’s theme “All in a Day’s Work: Seeing Man’s Work from God’s Perspective “. The young adult participants will be led in Philosophy and Theology classes by religious from the Community of St. John, along with holy Mass, prayer, adoration, recreation and quiet time as part of the daily schedule.
