REGISTRATIONS ARE ALMOST FULL!!! If you register after we are full we will put you on the waitlist and notify you if you are.

Dear Eagle Eye Parents and Participants,

We enthusiastically invite teens, 16-18 years old, to be a part of this year’s Eagle Eye Summer Institute! Join us to embark on an eight-day summer session full of fun, friendship, recreation, prayer, and study. With Father Nathan Cromly and brothers and sisters of St. John, we are dedicated to helping you make this experience the best it can be!

This summer, we will concentrate our studies on “Justice: The First and Necessary Step to Mercy". Our study theme, along with daily Mass, Offices, and a Holy Hour, gives teens time to grow closer to Christ. We invite you to take this opportunity to know God and discover His plan for you.

We will welcome all participants on Saturday evening, June 11th at Our Lady of Consolation Retreat Center in Carey, Ohio. Please arrive between 6 and 6:30 p.m. No dinner will be served that evening, but we will offer snack/dessert during the evening.

Attached to this letter, you will find forms (4) needed for registration (please mail before May 7). Our registration coordinator is Beth Gillen (bethy20078@aol.com). Delicious meals, comfortable lodging, camping fees, and study materials, as well as travel and expenses for the team of religious are included in the non- refundable registration fee of $315. Local teens and returning families will be offered priority registration (until March 15).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. When registering, please be sure to indicate if your family has a tent that you are willing to share.  Eagle Eye will begin with an overnight hiking and camping trip. (For participants in need of financial help, EESI may be able to offer an opportunity to assist with a fundraising activity to earn toward the registration fee.) The Eagle Eye experience will end on Sunday, June 19th with Mass, followed by a potluck lunch. We invite your family to join us on Sunday for Mass and the potluck. We ask you to please bring a dish to  share. Beverages, table settings, and condiments will be provided. Last year, we were blessed with 45 young people attending Eagle Eye as well as the various volunteers, so there will be many hungry people. Your help in preparing a main dish to pass (ex. chicken, casserole, etc.) is greatly appreciated. As any veteran of potlucks will tell you, remember to label your dishes! You can bring your dishes to the retreat center cafeteria by 11:30 that morning. If you have any questions or are willing to help in some way with the potluck lunch, please contact Kathy Kimar before June 10th at (330) 904-2279. We are fortunate to have many volunteers helping to organize the Eagle Eye Summer Institute. Parents of some participants have worked to contribute meals during the week. We are grateful for those who have willingly donated time and/or food to make this retreat possible. We always welcome the assistance of volunteers. We hope to reach out to the parents of all participants, but welcome anyone who wishes to initiate contact to email our Food Coordinator, Victoria Ulmer at victoria.ulmer@hotmail.com. We look forward to seeing you at our 2016 Eagle Eye Teen Summer Institute in June! Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us throughout this endeavor!
